Voula and Peter celebrated their special day in style with a modern vintage theme. With an abundance of lace, flowers and even balloons. Voula spent the morning with her bridesmaids getting ready to marry her man with the help of our directory member Makeup by Anastasia alongside other amazing suppliers. "My favourite part of our big day was definitely walking down the aisle. The unfamiliar feeling of being anxious and excited at the same time was very overwhelming. It was so reassuring to meet my expecting husband's eyes at the end of the altar" said Voula. They celebrated with a reception at Curzon Hall styled to perfection by Sash and Bows Events.
Proposal story from the Bride... The night before the proposal while we were at dinner, my husband mentioned that he wanted to start running again to get fit. So I conveniently offered to start together as of tomorrow! Tomorrow came and I eagerly was ready to get this run over and done with as early as possible. My husband took his time to get ready as the weather was gradually getting hotter and hotter. We even stopped for breakfast because 'he hadn't eaten anything'. I watched him with annoyance eating his toasted sandwich ever so slowly. By this time it was about 11:30am, it was quite hot and I suggested to just do a local run - but instaed he wanted to go through the Sunday Bondi traffic and do the Bondi to Bronte run. My annoyance grew as we were stuck in the growing traffic until we finally found a park at Bondi and started to run. I remember that week was the week that Ellen Degeneres was in Sydney and I heard on the news that she was going to be at Sydney beaches. So as we were running down the Bronte steps my husband was encouraging me to 'push faster'. I had taken notice of the crowd standing in a straight line on the concreted area above the pool until he said 'What's going on up there?' I looked up and all I could see were about 20 people cheering and each released a red balloon into the air. At this point I said 'Oh my God! I think Ellen Degeneres is here!" That was until I saw each person lift a framed a letter that read 'WILL YOU MARRY ME VOULA?' I turned around in shock to see my husband on a bended knee and the whole of Bronte Beach clapping and cheering!!
