ALLI & STRATO
A girls night out led to Alli meeting the man of her dreams, Strato. “We locked eyes and eventually started chatting and that was it, I went home with butterflies in my stomach and knew/hoped it was the start of something really special.” Reflecting on her wedding day Alli told The Brides Style "There were so many special moments, it's hard to pick one (favourite moment). I was uber relaxed all morning until I got to the church and my father pulled my veil over my face and I became overwhelmed with emotion. Marriage is so sacred to me and it all felt very real at that moment to see my best friend at the end of the aisle waiting for me, surrounded by all of my loved ones...I just felt so abundantly blessed. The Greek Orthodox marriage service is so beautiful and meaningful, we had booklets made up for our guests which explained what each element of the ceremony signified.” said Alli. After the ceremony, they celebrated with family and friends at a reception at Doltone House Sylvania Waters. With a soft and elegant wedding theme in mind the space was decorated with white, soft pinks, silver and lilac. The reception incorporated floral centrepieces, crystal candelabras, and candles. "My favourite moment at the reception was when we first walked in and our bridal party got everyone up on the dancefloor and the party started straight away! Our vision was to have everyone up and dancing from the get go and with such great friends and family, it far than exceeded our expectations. Throughout the night we had a combination of our DJ playing dancefloor hits, our singer singing acoustic old school R&B tracks and bouzouki player who had everyone getting into the Greek dancing."
The couple went to Fiji for a holiday and of course this was the perfect destination for Strato to pop the question. "Strato organised the most amazing 5 course dinner in a private cabana on the beach, surrounded by candles and with only the sounds of the ocean and a Fijian musician, it was pretty dreamy. With very full bellies, we walked along the beach back to our room chatting about what the future holds and then he dropped to one knee and popped the question. My reaction of course was to put my hands on my face and start crying, so I couldn’t actually see him or the ring…but it was just incredible, very private and special.”
